As part of the national campaign to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Garuda Indonesia created a mask designing competition in mid-2020. 4 winners were selected, and their mask designs were painted on active Garuda fleets ranging from the 737 to the 777. Including the original design, a total of 5 masks then saw regular service with Garuda Indonesia.
